CULINARY BOUTIQUE | Food Review 2016

The word boutique in the English dictionary means small store that sells expensive fashionable items like cloths, jewelry, shoes and many other things. However, our experience this weekend was at the “Culinary Boutique” a shop that sells food and not fashion apparels. This place was no ordinary shop because the food here rather being pricey it was more rich in taste from around the world.

We were informed that this unique venue was Established by renowned Emirati entrepreneur, Hessa Al Qassim, a Culinary Boutique about combining a love of food with memories and experiences; a vision that combines the art of learning, eating and celebrating. Her ultimate goal is to create a place where Dubai’s food enthusiasts can come together in a fun, intimate and welcoming setting where the experience is to be savoured as much as the flavours. Hessa states that “cooking is not just about having the best talent, but about exploring your own nature and spirit in the kitchen. With today’s busy and hectic lifestyle, cooking is a remedy – it is through home cooking that we create these essential memories of being together with family and friends.”

We were greeted with the friendliest approach by the Manager on duty who sat us outside in the patio along with other guests. Being that it is mid January and the winter cold breeze was not comforting at all where we sat, lucky for me I brought my jacket. We will list out the food that we ordered throughout our visit to the Culinary Boutique:

  1. Pineapple Spring (Pineapple, Ginger, Lemon & Lime)    ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
  2. Ritzy Lychee (Lychee, Rose Water, Ginger beer & lime) ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

  1. Lobster Tail (Sun dried tomato, spicy butter) ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
  2. Truffle Ravioli (Quail Egg, Black Truffle) ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

  1. Lobster Pasta with Saffon (Homemade pasta, Saffron cream sauce) ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
  2. Prawn & Coconut Curry (Steamed rice, Tiger prawns) ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

  1. Wagyu Burger Sliders (Homemade Pesto, Chili yuzu mayo, Barbeque sauce) ♥ ♥ ♥

  1. Matcha Chocolate Fondant (Chocolate Soil & Green Tea Ice Cream) ♥ ♥ ♥
  2. Crème Brulee (Expressed in 3 flavors of lavender, Pistachio & Vanilla) ♥ ♥ ♥

The overall experience was just AH-mazing with all the food we had and our personal favorite was the Lobster Pasta with Saffon from the main course which you have got to try. We definitely and highly recommend this place just like we did in our previous review for the Brazilian place “Spirito”
