Koton Meanswear Collection Reinterpretes Big City Classics for AW15
Koton reimagines the classic urban man in its Autumn/Winter 2015 collection. Men’s wardrobe staples adopt new styles with the textures and details of the season.
Indispensable apparel pieces are recreated in of-the-moment silhouettes and fabrics. Blazer jackets, essential to office life, are animated in softer materials such as tricot for a modern-classic twist. Chino trousers are offered in an array of autumnal colours such as rust and camel, marrying both comfort and style. Cozy sweaters and cardigans follow the trend in tonal shades.
The shirt collection forms the cornerstone of the presentation with a selection of professional monotones in blue, white and cream. Plaid shirts round out the options whilst a revolutionary shirt-jacket is designed in an optimal thickness to keep warm when the weather starts to dip into cooler temperatures.
Light as air puff jackets in an array of bold colours carry the trend into the festive cold months, adding an element of texture over blazers or paired with jeans for a casual look.
Koton men’s jeans hone in on a road trip theme, with washes in pale blue, grey and anthracite. Jean jackets are also paired with velvet collars. The colour palette revolves around shades of bitter coffee and cinnamon, which are new additions for the autumnal season.
Scarves and other added accessories such as rough hewn leather belts, round out the classic but reinvented Koton man.
Koton Autumn/Winter Womenswear Flirts With Glamorous Bohemia
Koton’s Autumn/Winter collection enriches the wardrobe of the cosmoplitan woman with glamorous pieces with a bohemian air. Blending unexpected combinations of textures and colours, the season conjours up the creativity and freedom of Paris in the 1960’s and Bohemia in the 1970’s.
A timeless silhouette is created in chiffon pussybow blouses, empire waist dresses and monochrome lace. Loose trouser suits are complemented by silky shirts topped off with vintage-look double breasted jackets. Soft, cashmere-like textured sweaters combine with midi skirts and high waists. Shades of winter white, camels hair, smoke, olive and blush pink marry satins and crochet fabrics.
The effortless chic of a vibrant Paris in the 1960s is translated into sophisticated a-line skirts and cigarette trousers with metal details. The trend is awash in navy blues, indulgent reds, and burnt oranges in velvets, brocades and lace.
Swinging 70’s Bohemia is re-imagined in bell-sleeve blouses, vests and flared trousers. Classic military coats or Victorian collars are paired with turtleneck sweaters or maxi dresses in shades of dark peach, nut, coffee, midnight blue and jet black. Suede, sheep skin and floral print fabrics are also designed to highlight the straight off-the-runway trends.
Olé by Koton for the AW15 season echoes the Parisian and Bohemian themes with a wardrobe geared toward the young and fresh faced woman. The collection seamlessly blends the rebellious and spontaneous style of 1960’s France along with boho chic colour palette and outlines. The overall look is casual cool.
The jeans collection stands out with warm and soft denim textures with Victorian details. Bell-shaped skirts are belted whilst blazers are cinched in soft velvets. Cotton corduroy is used throughout in deep, earthy shades along with buckle belts and brass-toned details.
Accessories carry the romantic visions further with gold trimmed flats, brocade loafers, modish mid-ankle boots and chunky heels for a vintage European feel.
